Core & Balls
Fitness on the Run offers this exciting new class featuring a full body workout utilizing stability balls and medicine balls of various weights and sizes. Stability balls are the larger softer ball we often see in most gyms across the country. Generally, they are sized according to yoru height, depending on the exercise we prescribe. Medicine balls are much smaller, more dense and can make a regular workout a little more EXCITING!
In addition to utilizing the balls for part of the workout, we’ll all focus on your “core”. If you don’t think you have a core now, after this class, your core will be stronger than ever. Your “core” is a combination of your back and your abdominals. We will work with you to engage these muscles in order to gain better “body awareness” of these important muscle groups. With the appropriate use of the core, your workouts will become much more effective. You will build muscle more efficiently due to the instruction you receive and you will gain a better understanding of how important these muscles really are to your overall health.
