Denise is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor who believes that maintaining balance — with one’s family, career and physical fitness — is the most important factor in achieving a healthy and successful lifestyle. Denise is a firm believer in group fitness and sees that, for some individuals, the camaraderie, accountability and fun of group fitness is necessary to achieve their fitness goals. She is a certified Crossfit (Level 1) trainer and CPR-certified.
Denise has been an avid runner for more than 20 years, including two years of college-level cross country. After college, Denise decided to try longer distances and has since run three marathons and a number of half marathons. Denise also enjoys swimming and will start biking as part of her fitness regime so she can add triathlons to her list of athletic accomplishments.
Favorite Exercise: 24-inch box jump and running
Greatest Challenge: Ragnar Relay (194.5 miles/36 hour relay) running sleep-deprived and in the dark with a head lamp was tough!
